Paste one complete measurement per line
Choose the measurement type and destination unit first, then turn on Convert a list. Each row may be a bare number, which uses From unit, or an explicit same-category measurement such as 175 lb or 10 lb 8 oz. Do not paste a header, a whole multi-column worksheet or unrelated profile information. The limit is 200 rows and 20,000 characters, and excessive input is rejected rather than silently truncated.
Read every original row number
Consider a Mass list with 175 on line 1, a blank line 2, 10 lb 8 oz on line 3, 5 ft 10 in on line 4 and invalid on line 5. With From set to pounds and To to kilograms, lines 1 and 3 convert, line 2 keeps its position and lines 4 and 5 report errors. The length on line 4 must not become a plausible mass. Keep your source sheet alongside the audit and correct the exact original line.
Copy a column only after fixing errors
Copy results column becomes available when all nonblank rows are valid. It contains plain decimal-point numbers with blank-line positions retained, so paste it beside the same original rows. Copy full table instead includes line numbers, original text, interpreted units, results and errors. Copy result carries a single measurement with its units, or the current list summary. If clipboard permission is unavailable, the page provides selectable text and an honest failure message.
Inspect the audit CSV before importing it
Download audit CSV creates measurement-conversion-audit.csv locally. It includes every original line, including blanks and invalid entries, and quotes fields containing punctuation safely. Formula-like original text is prefixed as text to reduce spreadsheet formula execution; numeric results remain numeric strings. Choose the expected comma-separated import format and decimal point in your spreadsheet. The file is not uploaded, and the page does not store the original list between visits.
