A bilingual Canadian submission: sections and counts

Work a Canadian bilingual submission with deliberately included title, body and references and a complete paired French guide.

Work a bilingual Canadian submission

Create separate title, English body, French body and references sections. If the brief counts both language versions, include both; if it requests separate ceilings, check each body in turn rather than inventing a combined allowance. A translated abstract is not automatically exempt. The tool supplies no universal Canadian university or government policy: read the specific instructions and retain their measurement basis.

Pair the report with the receiving instructions

Use the complete French version for a francophone reviewer and the English version for an anglophone reviewer. Reports omit the draft and visitor-supplied section names. They identify the counted scope and convention, making it easier to explain a discrepancy. If a portal counts differently, its final counter and published instructions take precedence. The separately sourced UCAS preset is a UK application example, not a Canadian submission default.

Counting basis

A count within the limit does not guarantee upload or submission acceptance. X weighting and URL parsing are approximate; Instagram and YouTube title graphemes can differ from platform units. YouTube also excludes < and >. The receiving form is authoritative. Blocks are arithmetic equivalents, not printed manuscript pages. Section counts are added without inventing spaces or separators. Edit the draft using the numeric limit check, then confirm the receiving form’s own count and rules. Copy or download the measurement basis without the draft.
